Tun Razak Exchange is envisaged as an integrated financial hub that is equipped with outstanding inter and intra urban connectivity. To highlight the project’s transit-centric perspective, this development is integrated with two MRT lines (MRT Line 1 and MRT Line 2) by MRT TRX Station. MRT TRX Station is the only interchange station for MRT Line 1 and MRT Line 2. To top up on that, a comprehensive plan is plotted to ensure smooth flow of traffic around the area in future.

This development comprises the construction of an access to the Bukit Bintang shopping district in order to allow traffic to bypass Jalan Bukit Bintang which is one of the busiest roadway.
In view of relieving the heavy traffic at Kampung Pandan Roundabout, a direct elevated access to MEX Highway connecting KL with its southern suburbs and KLIA will also be built from Langgak Golf, at the end of Jalan Tun Razak.
To enable traffic to bypass inner-city roads altogether, this development has plotted the loop tunnel system for the movement of vehicles.
It allows direct access to and from major highways like SMART and MEX. The loop tunnel diverts the traffic underground to TRX’s more than 20,000 parking bays.
The vital feature that will ensure the development’s viability as a truly global financial hub, is the seamless access to MEX that bypasses the heavy above-ground traffic in KL and will shorten the travel time from KLIA (one of the world’s top 25 busiest airports) to TRX to 40 minutes only.
The direct egress and ingress access to the SMART tunnel is a relief from the frequent congestion along Jalan Sungai Besi, which enhances TRX’s traffic connectivity with the future Bandar Malaysia development.
TRX is also cooperating with DBKL in order to upgrade Jalan Tun Razak. This road serves as the main southern gateway to downtown Kuala Lumpur and is also well-known for its rush hour gridlock. The upgrade is currently targeting at reducing the traffic loading in the city by 30 percent.
